The Olive Branch Arts Council consist of 11 Board Members and an Executive Director. The Long Range Plan of the organization continues to be consistent with the mission and goals. The goals are to be a center for information and resources for artists, art groups, and the public
Executive Director
My family moved to Olive Branch in 1969 when I was in the 10th grade. After graduating from Olive Branch High School in 1972, I attended Northwest Community College for two years. I received a bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design in 1975 from MSU. I worked as an interior designer for eight years at an English Antique shop. I have been working for a custom upholstery shop since 1983 designing furniture.

President
I have been in the real estate industry and property management field since 2001. Currently I am the managing Broker and owner of a real estate company in Olive Branch. I am a graduate of Memphis College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I worked in the graphic arts field for a major real estate magazine for four years before becoming a full time Realtor. I also attended the West Tennessee Professional School of Real Estate, and belong to the North West Mississippi Association Of Realtors where I am a member of the Million Dollar Club.

Vice President
Lisa Cline has been involved with the Arts for many years, from youth talent shows to most recently winning two 1st Place Blue Ribbons in the Mid-South Fair Arts & Crafts Competition. In addition to her position as a Board Member, Lisa is extremely involved in volunteer work throughout DeSoto County.

Secretary
Kim Terrell is Executive Director of DeSoto County Tourism. She has been on the OBAC for four years. Kim has lived in Olive Branch for 14 years. She is actively involved in her church, First Baptist Olive Branch, as well as the Olive Twig Humanitarian Group and the Make A Wish Foundation of the Mid South.

Treasurer
I graduated from Ole Miss, the University of Mississippi, in 1978 with a degree in English/Theater. I have been a theater teacher and director for Olive Branch High School for 14 years. During those years, I have had numerous productions to go to the regional’s and state competitions, my most recent “And They Dance Real Slow in Jackson”, which also won Best Drama at the Northwest Mississippi Allied Awards. I also teach senior English and I am the department head for English.

Rita Schelly has been a resident of Olive Branch for 21 years. She is Vice President of BancorpSouth Bank in Olive Branch. She is married to John Schelly, employed by City of Olive Branch, and has a son, Nicholas Lancaster, by a previous marriage.

Phil and his family moved to Olive Branach in July 1997, from Tupelo, Ms. Phil is employed by the Kroger Company. Phil has worked for Kroger since 1978 (31 years). Phil joined the OBAC in 2007, and was Vice President in 2008, before becoming President of the Olive Branch Arts Council in 2009. He is married to Susan F. Evans for 24 years, and he has two children, Cliff, 21, a Senior at Ole Miss, and Meredith, 17, a Senior at Lewisburg high School.
