Board Member

Phil and his family moved to Olive Branach in July 1997, from Tupelo, Ms.  Phil is employed by the Kroger Company.  Phil has worked for Kroger since 1978 (31 years).  Phil joined the OBAC in 2007, and was Vice President in 2008, before becoming President of the Olive Branch Arts Council in 2009.  He is married to Susan F. Evans for 24 years, and he has two children, Cliff, 21, a Senior at Ole Miss, and Meredith, 17, a Senior at Lewisburg high School.

Phil is a member of First Baptist Church in Olive Branch and he enjoys giving back to the community by serving as a former member of the City of Olive Branch Board of Adjustments, active member of the OBAC, and Olive Branch Rotary Club.  Phil is a Charter Member of the Kroger Toastmasters Club.  Phil was chosen in 2004 and 2008 as Kroger division Office Community Volunteer of the year.  Phil has been President of the College Hill Home Owners Association since 2008, and has served on the Board of Directors since 2007.  Phil has been active in United Way as a Loaned Executive in Lee County, and the Kroger Pillar Society of United Way.  He has held several leadership roles with the Olive Branch high School Chorus Booster Club, in 2005 and 2006.  Phil and Susan are active in the Lewisburg High School Chorus program and the Lewisburg lady patriot Volleyball program.  Phil and the family enjoy attending Ole Miss Sporting Events and the grove, fishing, and supporting the ARTS in Olive Branch.
