Bettie Puckett has a PhD in Leadership Development and Management, a Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare etired from the University ofr Mississippi as an administrator and faculty member. She was Executive Director of two departments, an associate professor and taught several graduate-level classes in the School of Education. Administration.. She is also a certified legal assistant. Puckett retired from the University of Mississippi as an administrator and faculty member.  She was Executive Director of two departments, an associate professor and taught several graduate-level classes in the School of Education.

After moving to Olive Branch, Puckett continued to teach at the University of Mississippi DeSoto Center, teaching classes in education and  human resources management.

In addition to the Olive Branch Old Towne Association, Dr. Puckett is a member of the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce and severs on the boards of directors of the Olive Branch Arts Council and is a member of the Old Towne Design Review Committee.  She is a member of the Civitan Club and has served as a former state officer for the Exchange Club and was on the board of directors for the Child Abuse Prevention Center in Oxford.  She is also a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Olive Branch
